Dates with cheese and prosciutto

I find this recipe very easy to make and I haven’t met a person who didn’t like it yet. I always make it as an hors d’œuvre to a party.

All you need is:

Dates – I usually buy medjool dates (big dates) for this recipe, some heavy cream, some cheese, you can use either blue cheese (my favorite) for those who don’t like blue cheese you can use goat cheese or sheep cheese, and some prosciutto or Serrano Ham.

24 dates

1/4 lbs cheese

1/4 cup heavy cream (35%) (or more depending on the thickness of the cheese you choose)

12 prosciutto pieces cut in half lengthwise

– Slice open the dates and pitted them

– In a bowl mix the cheese and the cream until smooth

– Use a spoon or a pastry bag to fill the dates with the mix

– Wrap each date in the prepared prosciutto.
